If you believe a video infringes a copyright you own or are authorised to represent, send us a takedown notice and we will review it and remove the material where the notice is valid.

What a takedown notice must include

To be valid under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)), your notice must contain:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  2. The exact link of every video on StreamFile you want removed, for example https://streamfile.net/abcdefghijkl.html. Notices without links cannot be processed.
  3. Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is enough).

Counter-notification

If your video was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. It must include:

  1. The link of the removed video.
  2. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  3. Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts for your address and will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.
  4. Your physical or electronic signature.

We may restore the video unless the original complainant informs us that they have filed a court action against the uploader.

Repeat infringers

Accounts that repeatedly upload infringing material will be suspended or terminated. Sending a knowingly false notice or counter-notice may make you liable for damages, including costs and legal fees.
